“Come back to FIRST LOVE. Remember the love we shared.”

The Lord asked us and is NOW asking us to return to FIRST LOVE. It’s loving GOD FIRST. Loving Him before and ahead of anything else and anyone else, including our SELF. It’s letting Him have first place, first priority in our heart, soul, mind, strength, body and life. Every area. All that we are.

GOD IS LOVE!!! Every day we need to receive His love. He tells us to abide in His love and to remain abiding in His Love!

LOVE IS OUR WAY OF LIFE. We actually NEED His love, not only to love Him, but to love each other. We can’t do it without Him. We can’t do anything without Him. We can’t give what we don’t have. There is nothing in me – by myself – that is love. Only God is love.

What does Christianity look like?

1) Deny yourself!

2) Take up your cross!

3) Follow Jesus!

Being born-again is bigger than saying a prayer and attending church on Sundays.

When we say, “I do,” we are married to Jesus! It’s waking up everyday and saying, “I do!” It’s having a relationship with Him, and not cheating on Him. It’s being faithful ALL the time. He is above all!

There is no “Body of Christ” without the head of Christ, and JESUS is the head!

JESUS is LORD! He is the “preeminent” ONE. He’s the top, and superior to EVERYTHING to the glory of God.

Jesus is first in rank in the universe – the King of all kings, now we get to decide if He is the preeminent one in our hearts! When we make Jesus the preeminent one in our lives, it impacts every area of our life, BUT He will not be preeminent, if we are still the lord of our house and don’t first humble ourselves. Is JESUS preeminent in your life?

Preeminence – prōtĕuō – To be first in rank or influence; above all others, superior in status and position

9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:9-11 NKJV

Philippians 2:9–11, 1 Peter 5:6, Colossians 1:9–18, John 14:9–10, 2 Corinthians 4:16–18

I can prevail, because JESUS prevailed!

The enemy tries to destroy us with pressure. Jesus tries to grow us with pressure. The pressure and crushing that comes into our lives has two agendas. One is of heaven, and one is of hell. We have to choose which one we agree with.

JESUS IS the RESURRECTION! [John 11:25-27]

Revelation 5:1–7, Luke 4:1–13, Genesis 3:3–6, 1 Corinthians 15

“when He had come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved – shaken; vibrated, agitated, created a commotion.

Jesus wants to come and shake up things in our lives, and flip upside down “normal.”

When we come into contact with JESUS . . . One encounter with Jesus can change everything! It has the power to change our “normal” way of doing things. We are a new creation in Christ!

Shake us. Move and agitate on the inside of us Lord, to drive out everything you don’t want in our lives.

Then Jesus went into the temple of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. Matt 21:12

Drove out – ĕkballō – To throw out, drive out, force to leave by physical means – origin; from or outballo – throw, cast or thrust

Overturned – katastrĕphō – To turn upside down; to cause something to be upset or turned over from its normal position.
