Five words or less can change a life – either building up or tearing down.
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.” Proverbs 18:21
Do you need to “dispossess” some things in 2024?
As believers, we have an inheritance, and Jesus has already destroyed and disarmed the enemy, so we can take possession of our inheritance.
Sometimes though, we don’t know what we’ve inherited, or we don’t possess our inheritance, and sometimes, we let the devil with his lies move into our hearts and live with us.
Are you ready to have victory and take possession of your inheritance?
You must drive out the enemy with the courage to believe what God says over what you fear.
Deuteronomy 31:1–8, 1 John 3:8, Colossians 2:15, Ephesians 4:27, Joel 2:12–17
2024 is going to start with a choice! A choice to serve what you believe, and not what you feel. No one can choose for you. You must choose for YOURSELF. It’s time to make a decision! Are you going to fear the Lord? Are you going to serve Him in sincerity and truth? Are you going to put away some things that are distracting you from serving Him? Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve.
Today is a “this day!” AND Tomorrow is another “this day!”
Will you serve God’s agenda, or your own agenda?
“Now therefore, fear the Lord, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve the Lord! 15 And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:14-15
YouVersion Notes
According to Jesus, Holy Spirit came to # 1 Guide us into all truth and # 2 Take of what is Jesus’ and declare it to us.
When we pray in the spirit/in tongues, we are downloading and speaking the hidden wisdom and mysteries of God, as Holy Spirit hears them from the Father and the Son and declares them to us. So, when we pray in tongues, Holy Spirit is communicating things we cannot know in the natural. It’s our spirit talking to God to know what the Father and Jesus are saying.
” . . . we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, 8 which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9 But as it is written:“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” 10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. 13 These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. I Corinthians 2:6-14 NKJV
John 16:13–15, Acts 2:1–21, 1 Corinthians 14:1–19, 1 Corinthians 2:6–14, Matthew 16:13–18
It’s the season of gift-giving, and there is a gift, according to the Bible that Jesus wants to give ALL of us.
HOW IMPORTANT IS THIS GIFT?
WILL WE RECEIVE IT?
There is a baptism in Holy Spirit that Jesus wants to give you. It’s free! It is an invitation to receive more of what Jesus wants to give you.
13 And he told us how he had seen an angel standing in his house, who said to him, ‘Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon whose surname is Peter, 14 who will tell you words by which you and all your household will be saved.’ 15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them, as upon us at the beginning. 16 Then I remembered the word of the Lord, how He said, ‘John indeed baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’ 17 If therefore God gave them the same gift as He gave us when we believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could withstand God?” 18 When they heard these things they became silent; and they glorified God, saying, “Then God has also granted to the Gentiles repentance to life.” Acts 11:13-18 NKJV
Acts 11:13–18, Mark 7:6–8, Acts 2:1–4, Acts 8:13–20, Acts 10:34–40
Our mouths were created to praise the Lord, to preach the gospel, to speak His Word and to give life. Jesus is purifying the mouth of His bride. He has a purpose for our mouth, and we must constantly allow Him to purify our hearts, because the words of our mouth are an issue of our heart.
