Discover God’s Design in Spiritual Authority – Original Intent
In Spiritual Authority – Original Intent, Pastor Chad Everett reveals God’s original plan for how His people were created to live in dominion through relationship, not control. From the very beginning in Genesis 1: 26–28, God gave mankind the mandate to rule under His rule. This message explores how spiritual authority – original intent began in the Garden of Eden and was restored through Jesus Christ.
Chad explains that spiritual authority is not about power over people but about partnership with God’s purpose. When believers understand who they are in Christ and how authority flows from submission, everything changes. Because of this, God’s plan has always been for His sons and daughters to reflect His image and extend His kingdom on the earth.
Submission and Dominion in Spiritual Authority – Original Intent
True authority begins with surrender. Chad shows that God didn’t rule the earth for Adam—He ruled through Adam. For this reason, obedience always connects us to heaven’s design. When we study Psalm 8: 4–6 and John 15: 5, we see that relationship comes before dominion and intimacy before influence.
Spiritual authority – original intent is about staying connected to the Vine, Jesus. When we remain close to Him, His life and power flow through us daily. God delegates authority to His people; we never earn it by our own effort. As a result, submission becomes the pathway to strength. Chad reminds us, “You can’t hijack true authority. God gave it—and that makes it legitimate.”
Your Yes to God Releases Spiritual Authority
Every believer faces moments of choice: obey God or follow self. Chad teaches that every “yes” to God is a “no” to the enemy. Because of this, obedience activates authority, while resistance to God shuts it down.
Through Matthew 28: 18–19, we discover how Jesus restored the Genesis mandate—authority in heaven and on earth—then gave it to His disciples. Therefore, this is spiritual authority – original intent lived out daily: believers saying yes to God, walking in His Word, and representing His kingdom wherever they go.
