Familiar Light, Forgotten Responsibility

If you’ve heard this your whole life and you know it, then why aren’t you doing it?

Based on the message by Justin Younger

OVERVIEW

Many students grow up hearing Bible stories, attending church, and learning what God’s Word says. The challenge is not simply knowing the truth—it is living it.

In this message, Justin Younger teaches that Jesus is the Light of the World, and when believers follow Him, His light lives in them. Because of that, every believer is called to shine God’s light wherever they go. Whether at home, at school, on social media, on the ball field, or with friends, our lives are constantly influencing others.

Justin challenges believers to stop settling for a version of Christianity that looks good on the outside but lacks genuine obedience. God calls His people to walk in the light, reject compromise, and become witnesses for Jesus through the way they live.

The question is not whether you know the truth. The question is whether your life reflects it.

HOW TO USE THIS GUIDE

Read → Respond → Reflect

  • Open your Bible.
  • Let Scripture answer the questions.
  • Be honest instead of giving the “church answer.”
  • Ask God to reveal areas where He wants to grow you.

This study is not just about learning information.

It’s about examining your life, allowing God’s light to shine in every area, and becoming the witness He has called you to be.

FINAL ENCOURAGEMENT

The world does not need more people who know Bible verses but refuse to live them.

The world needs believers who shine the light of Jesus wherever they go.

God has placed you in your school, on your team, in your friend group, and in your family for a reason. You have influence. You have a witness. You have the light of Christ living in you.

Don’t hide your light.

Let Jesus shine through every part of your life and point others toward Him.
