Spiritual Authority: Restored In Christ β€” SONS & DAUGHTERS

Message from Chad Everett

OVERVIEW

This week, we learned that God wants every believer to know who they are in Jesus.

When we put our faith in Jesus, we become sons and daughters of God. We do not become God’s children because we are good enough or because we do everything perfectly. We become God’s children because we trust in Jesus.

We also learned that there are many voices in the world trying to tell us what is true. God’s Word helps us know the truth and keeps us from being fooled by wrong ideas.

Most importantly, we learned that Jesus is the truth. God wants us to trust Him, believe His promises, and live by the Holy Spirit instead of being controlled by fear, worry, or our feelings.

God loves His sons and daughters and wants them to walk closely with Him every day.

FINAL ENCOURAGEMENT

God loves His sons and daughters.

You do not have to earn God’s love. Through faith in Jesus, you become part of God’s family.

When life feels confusing, remember that Jesus is the truth. When you feel weak, God gives His Spirit to help you. When you feel afraid, God reminds you that you belong to Him.

Trust Jesus. Listen to God’s Word. Walk with the Holy Spirit. You are a son or daughter of God.

✏️ ACTIVITY β€” GOD’S FAMILY

Draw a picture of yourself standing with Jesus.

Then write or draw three things that remind you that you belong to God’s family.
