Charla Lewis was born and raised In Enfield, IL and currently resides there with her husband Bill of 16 years. Together they have 2 girls, Cadence (10) and Imogen (7).
Charla has always enjoyed her experiences working with children and youth. Over the course of the past 12 years, she has served the Norris City-Omaha-Enfield School community working as a music teacher and more recently as a special education teacher.
Charla and her family started attending The Roads Church in the spring of 2015. Since this time she has volunteered her services in our children’s and youth ministries, as well as other Dream Team areas.
Charla truly has a heart for kids. She believes that children play such an important role in the future of the church. “Children are truly a gift from the Lord and pouring into children is to be greatly valued. It’s the heart of the Father.” Charla is passionate about connecting all kids to Jesus. She is also excited about the opportunity to help our kids discover who God made them to be, as well as helping them grow in their special individual giftings. “It’s truly an honor and a privilege to be given the opportunity to train and teach warriors in the Kingdom of God.”
Charla will be coming on and replacing our current Roads Kidz Pastor – Darla Ehrbright, who will be leaving us as she makes some big family transitions. We have so appreciated Darla and the joy she has brought to our children’s ministry, and are excited that she will assist in the process of Charla acclimating to her new position. Charla’s first day will be Monday, July 8th.
