The Roads Church COVID-19 Update from Pastor Chad Everett
March 26, 2020
Hello to all of The Roads Church family! We are so thankful for you and miss seeing each and every one of you. We just wanted to give you a quick update to let you know that we are continuing to monitor the Coronavirus situation at both the Federal and State level of government as new information is coming in from the World Health Organization and the Center for Disease control daily.
As of this update, we will continue to have all of our services broadcast online this weekend through our YouTube channel, website and our Facebook page. You can subscribe to our YouTube channel, “like” The Roads Church Facebook page as well as join our eRoads Family and eRoads Kids group pages on Facebook to stay current on everything going on at The Roads Church. We have content available for your children as well so please take advantage of those resources on both our Website and our eRoads Kidz Facebook group. We will continue to post resources and information to equip and encourage as often as possible.
Even though we are not able to come together yet in a church service, I believe the Church is coming together greater than it ever has before. We are meeting daily to find out how we can better impact our communities both in Norris City and Mt. Carmel. We are going to be utilizing the resources of our Pantry in Norris City to provide food for those in need. One of our Core Values at The Roads Church is that We Live Generously – Freely We Receive, Freely We Give! We want to show the love of God and freely provide for those in need.
We encourage you to continue to reach out by inviting, sharing or just letting someone know about our online services. We had over hundreds more devices than usual logged into our services this past weekend, so the opportunity to connect people with Jesus from all roads of life is bigger than ever.
We are praying for all of the people working in the health care industry on the front lines serving people every day. We are also praying for everyone affected by this financially either directly or indirectly by being laid off, had their hours cut back or lost customers due to closing down their business. Dawn and I love you, we are praying for you, and we want to encourage you that God is our strength in time of trouble. He will help us, and He will deliver us and save us, because we trust in Him! We comin’ and we ain’t backin’ down! Be blessed!

Please continue to pray for Pastor Chad and Dawn Everett and The Roads Church leadership and the decisions needing to be made during this time as mandates and recommendations are made by our Federal and State government, our community and the families and businesses that are impacted by all the COVID-19 situation. Pray for our State and Federal Government as they navigate these uncharted territories that they seek God for wisdom and direction motivated by the best intention to keep our communities and nation safe – free from panic and chaos. Continue to pray for God’s Peace that “???????s ??? ????????? ???????? ?? ?????.” We will still worship. We will still give God all the glory. We comin’ and we ain’t backin’ down!
The Roads Church COVID-19 Update (MARCH 17)
by Mar 17, 2020
|At the latest request of our President based on the recommendation of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to limit social gatherings along with the Executive Order No. 5 issued by the Governor of Illinois that goes into effect March 18 prohibiting all public and private gatherings including faith-based events in the State of Illinois of 50 people or more, we at The Roads Church will be adjusting our strategy and utilizing the technology that we have available to provide our services exclusively online.
For the duration of the Gubernatorial Disaster Proclamation both our weekend services and our Wednesday night services for The Move youth group age 6th-12th grade will be available via our live stream platforms. We will broadcast one service on Sunday morning at 10:45 a.m. that will be available on our YouTube channel, Facebook, or our website.
We encourage all of you to take this opportunity to utilize your social media platforms to host a Facebook Watch Party and/or share the live Facebook or YouTube event of our services to all of your friends and family members. We will be providing lesson material and resources for your kids created by our fantastic Roads Kidz Crew on our website to help you and your children stay connected in their relationship with God. It is also a great opportunity for your Roads Group to gather and/or invite some friends over and worship together as you watch the service.
If you are looking for ways to continue worshiping the LORD with your giving, you can utilize our text to give option, visit our website, mail your contribution to PO Box 300, Norris City, IL 62869 or stop by and drop your contribution off at our offices during regular office hours.
Feel free to call the church office with any questions that you might have – our team will be more than happy to assist you. If you are in need of prayer, you can call us 618-378-3959, text the word “PRAYER” to 618-243-0900 or e-mail us at prayer@theroads.church.
We still believe that Jesus is bigger than the Coronavirus and that the fear that has engulfed our society is not from God nor is it the way God wants us to deal with this situation. We will not allow the fear tactics of the devil to cause us to back down and be silent. We will continue using every means available to proclaim the gospel of hope, healing and power in the name of Jesus! We are more than conquerors through Him who loves us and being a conqueror doesn’t mean you run from opposition but that you triumph over it. Thanks be to God who always causes us to triumph! We are victorious through Christ!
We will continue to monitor the situation and keep you updated with as much information as possible. We love our Roads Church and eRoads family and are believing that everything the enemy has meant for evil will be turned around for our good! We comin’ and we ain’t backin’ down!
